Worksite Product Overview

GAP - This plan is designed to pay the employee directly to cover deductibles and coinsurance amounts. It is a group-based policy requiring group medical insurance to be in place, and typically, employer contributions.

Accident - This policy is designed to cover active lifestyles. Benefits pay direct to the employee to assist with ER visits, fractures, dislocations, hospital confinements, etc. Rates are available for ages 18 to 64 and can be designed to be offered either on/off job only.

Cancer - Pays direct to employee to cover unforeseen expenses that one can incur out of pocket during the treatment of cancer. Certain carriers offer up to $400 wellness incentive and guaranteed issue provisions.

Intensive Care - Pays direct to employee for confinement to the highest level of care in a hospital (ICU, CCU, Neonatal, Burn Unit). A daily amount is paid per day of confinement and some policies double the benefit for car accidents.

Heart Disease/Stroke - Pays direct to the employee in the event of a diagnosis for heart disease, heart attack, or stroke. This policy is based on medical events surrounding the treatment of these illnesses.

Critical Illness - This policy pays a lump sum direct to the policyholder in the event of diagnosis of a major critical illness (cancer, heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, organ transplant, etc.). Popular features include an additional occurrence benefit that pays for more than one illness, and a reoccur rence benefit that pays for the same illness more than once.

Hospital Indemnity - This policy is designed to cover expenses associated with a hospital confinement. It pays directly to the employee when admitted to the hospital to assist in offsetting deductible and coinsurance amounts.

Disability - Many options are available to assist employees in the event they are unable to work due to illness or injury. There are no participation requirements, but is subject to underwriting. Also available as a group plan with guaranteed issue and no pre-existing conditions.

Long Term Care - Policy designed to assist with extended stays in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and for at-home nursing. It can be offered individually or on a group basis, and is gaining popularity.

Universal Life - This plan provides employees with permanent life insurance that builds cash value. Typically, underwriting is limited and additional riders are available such as long term care.

Term Life - Policy provides employees with stable, affordable life insurance rates for a specified period of time (10, 15, 20, or 30 years). Spouses and children can be covered and simplified underwriting is available.
